Nehru Group of Institutions (NGI) located in Coimbatore in Tamil Nadu is among the organisations that has created a space for itself in the field of education. Description about the achievements of this institution would run into volumes as they are innumerable. The core idea of this organisation is to serve students, turn them into well qualified individuals who can contribute ably towards the progress of the nation.
NGI began its innings in 1968 in Kuniamuthur, Coimbatore, TamilNadu with the same motive in mind and over the years it has sustained that and has made innumerable contributions towards the field of education. Students who wish to study courses in engineering, law, pharmacy, health science, architecture can arrive at the institution as the quality of education offered here is at its highest.
The founder chairman of the institution is late P. K. Das, he gave up his lucrative job in the Air Force and chose to pursue his dream of building a centre of educational excellence. With a vision to establish Nehru Group of Institutions, he embarked on the mission, encountering first-hand experience of the difficulties and the challenges that sprung up unawares. There are fiercest of storms, but those who are strong continue their journey towards their goal and this stands true with regards to NGI.
The institution has completed 54 years of service to the field of education and the most delightful point is that the institution has groomed more than 1,00,000 students in these 54 glorious years, the students from this great institution have proved their mettle across the world. They are in top positions in all the fields, this says it all, that there is determination. It is the determination to surge ahead and continue the great work it has been doing over these years.
